Boat Ramps - Boat ramps are located at  North Avenue, Alamar Crescent, Lincoln Street and Moir Street.
Water Skiing - There is a ski lane in the Mangawhai Estuary, for more information see the notice board at the Alamar Crescent boat ramp.
Sailing - Mangawhai estuary provides great sailing opportunities for beginners up.

Fishing Beaches
Fish - The RAIL  - Go to the Mangawhai Heads Surf Beach then walk north along the beach until you get to the rocky shoreline and reef area.
Fish - Head Rock - Go to the Mangawhai Heads Surf Beach  and walk out to the head rock, note: you can't walk out at high tide.
Fish - Pacific Beach - Drive down Blackswamp Road, turn left at forestry gates. Drive to the carpark at the end of the road.

Mangawhai Cliffs Walkway - Start Mangawhai Heads surf beach carpark and follow orange markers.

Surf Club Lookout Walkway ( now Te Whai Art Park ) - Up hill behind Surf Club, climb hill for fabulous coastal views. Toilets available.
Te Arai Point Beach Walk - Start North Te Ari Point walk along sandy beach to Mangawhai. Toilets and picnic tables available. Barbeque and changing rooms. Unpatrolled surf beach.
The Lookout Walkway - Molesworth Drive (above the golf club) 10 minute walk, fabulous views.

Mangawhai Art Trail held during the annual Walking Weekend was a great success - enjoyed by both the public and artists involved. It was a great weekend for everyone!

This years annual Walking Weekend had a great turn out with 685 registered for the walks and over the weekend with 1076 departures.

Nexts year event will be in March 11th - 14th 2010 - We look forward to you all joining us again to enjoy a weekend of spectacular views, a touch of artistry & fun fun fun!
